Ofttimes the test of courage becomes rather to live than to die.
In my old age, I have been thinking about this, and I have reached the conclusion that those who have physical courage also have moral courage.
When we read stories of heroes, we identify with them. We take the journey with them. We see how the obstacles almost overcome them. We see how they grow as human beings or gain qualities or show great qualities of strength and courage and with them, we grow in some small way.
To bathe a cat takes brute force, perseverance, courage of conviction – and a cat. The last ingredient is usually hardest to come by.
