I’d think learning to play the guitar would be very confusing for sighted people.
I think when you’re learning an instrument, you are restricted because much of it is the noise of individual theory and your ability to play the instrument.
I’ve bought pretty much every book ever written about the Alamo, and I talk to my friends that I’ve made over the past 15, 20 years. It’s just a constant learning and fascinating thing for me.
What society doesn’t realize is that in the past, ordinary people respected learning. They respected books, and they don’t now, or not very much. That whole respect for serious literature and learning has disappeared.
