I am extremely proud of my service with the government and my efforts to help safeguard public health and protect our country against the scourge of offensive biological warfare.
Canada is currently the only major industrialized country in the world that does not allow any private administration of health care services that are provided by the public system.
I think it’s time to have a celebration of life and renew our vows. And this time we’re going to write the vows because they’re going to mean a lot more. We certainly put the ‘in sickness and in health’ vow to the test the last year and half.
With a host of proposals on the table and a President examining new ideas for health reform, we have an obligation to give real reform our best shot.
You bet every member of Congress who votes for this bill ought to read it, read it thoroughly, and understand that what we’re looking at here amounts to nothing more than a government takeover of our health care economy, paid for with nearly a trillion dollars in new taxes on individuals and small businesses. And it must be opposed.
