Congress is attempting to eviscerate women’s health care. Like many women across America, I am outraged.
My top three priorities for my first term in Congress are growing our economy providing for quality, affordable health care and keeping our nation and communities safe.
We do not have a functioning market in the true sense of the word in health care. That’s a layer of transparency that’s sorely needed in America.
But the fact of the matter is that all scientific evidence would show, based upon what we know about this disease, that muscle cuts – that is, the meat of the animal itself – should not cause any risk to human health.
We immigrants can sometimes sound a little hysterical about this because we come from places that have tried this and we know where it leads. Anybody who’s lived in countries with socialized health care knows that it becomes the dominant political issue.
